Writers Block Breaking Ideas *Updated*

Okay, to try and break writer's block here, I'm going to try a couple of things. First, a competition entry, for a contest that ends at the end of the month.

Second, though, I'm going to try doing very short flash fiction stories as requests seperate from the current list. A flash fic is a term some people use to cover really short stories, about 300 to 1000 words, but in this case I'm writing it kinda fast too.

It'll work like this:

-Give me short ideas as flash fic requests, as many as you like. The ones that give me the most ideas to work on, I'll try to write a story using the idea in under an hour or so, so probably under a thousand words.
-I'll finish the story even if I go over the hour, but I won't be going back to edit these stories any time soon except to fix typos.
-Anyone of the ten people waiting on the main requests gets priority for now, if they give me ideas I'll try to do at least one of theirs. Anyone else who wants to try, if I get ideas I like from them, I'll give it a shot.
-I'll take ideas to about July 30th and try to finish as many as I can, assuming that it works out.

Hopefully, I break the block I have with this and my contest entry idea, and moving on in August. Don't expect Shakespeare with this stuff, it's to try get my writing spark back

UPDATE 1: I've put the ideas I have so far into a list to consider them, I'll see which ones look most likely to work and try to do some over the next week. Any other suggestions are welcome though

UPDATE 2: Got a list of a few I'm going to try out,so I hope to have something for sunday evening. Watch this space, and any other ideas are welcome. I don't think I'll have a contest entry possible after all at the moment but I'm going to try my best to get at least a handful of these done soon.

UPDATE 3: I've been a little delayed but I hope to get done with something by the weekend. Seems even short stories can't work with no spare time

UPDATE 5: Okay, went a bit overboard there.... I'm hoping now to get as many of the suggestions done that give me ideas up to the end of this month. I'll try to do at least one from everyone who gave a suggestion so far, and then as many as I can that give me good ideas. Come September, let's hope I get onto those requests again!

UPDATE 6: Okay, just so everyone's clear on this, here's what I hope to do.

As I say above, I'm going to try for at least one suggestion from each person who made one now, until the end of August. That should be about 4-5 more minimum, then, if I still have a little time, which I hopefully should if I can get some more blockbreakers done on a weekday.

I'm then going to try as many others as give me ideas still, alongside some shorter ideas of my own. The shorter ideas will basically be whatever comes to me, or, maybe even just a picture that inspired me into an idea. I actually have a couple of pics I had been inspired by, but never did the short story relating to them yet, so they might be first up if I'm doing my "own" ideas.

However, if I get that far and you know of a pic you think might inspire me, I might be asking for you to share it so if it does give me an idea I can ask the artist if they'd mind. But not yet. If I get the blockbreaker ideas given so far done, I'd be doing that maybe.

SEMI-UPDATE (Update 6.5?): I've had another little idea there based on a comment below, but if you want to make a suggestion for a short story using a picture or your own deviation that you made, feel free, but try to suggest as many as you can

UPDATE 7: Okay, 5 is done, I think I have 6 more to go before everyone got at least one. Then if I have the chance I'll do a few other short ones, from whatever sources, and then hopefully be into the main requests again by mid september at the very latest.

UPDATE 8: Got a couple more done this weekend, hope to maybe wrap up breaking the block in a week or two.

I'll hopefully be trying my own small ideas and maybe some of the more intresting secondary suggestions, as well as any inspiring pics that give me ideas, then going into the requests proper again. So, hopefully not long left
